Innovative, Client-Friendly Counseling

Experience the Convenience, Ease and Personalized Service of Having Your Therapist Travel to You

Why In-Home or On-Site Counseling?

I literally, "meet you where you're at" - at your home, school, office, park etc... My clients feel more relaxed and comfortable having sessions in the comfort and privacy of familiar surroundings. Offering counseling
services in non-traditional settings encourages participation by people who would like to avoid the stigma of seeking help.

Many clients enjoy having their sessions outside - surrounded by nature. This is what I call, "Counseling Beyond Walls " or " Open - Air counseling". The outdoors stimulates creativity and opens space for new possibilities.  It's also easier for many people to access their feelings when they are sitting shoulder to shoulder with the therapist instead of eye to eye."

Clients appreciate the convenience, time-savings, and ease of not having to arrange travel to a practitioner's office.  Another significant benefit having home/office based sessions is that I get to see you as a "whole person" - and not just a group of "symptoms" that walks into an office. By working with you in your environment, I learn more about your life - living situation,
family/friend support, culture, lifestyle, interests, values, emotions, mental and physical challenges etc.
- and can base my interventions accordingly. This cannot be done as easily in a therapist's office.

Like to walk? Try "Walk And Talk" Therapy Good for the body and mind - We'll take a walk together (at your pace) around your workplace campus, neighborhood, nearby park or trail. Talking about life's issues while walking helps people access their feelings and stimulates creates thinking and problem solving.  Researchers have demonstrated that walking improves
brain connectivity and functioning , and increases performance on cognitive tasks. Neuroscientists believe that the bilateral stimulation of the left and right hemispheres of the brain (generated by walking) assists in the processing of memories, thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Office appointments are also available in my Mountain View office location.

Purpose of Therapy:
Ultimately, the primary purpose of therapy is to help you change - in a way that is desirable to you. These changes may involve thinking differently, feeling differently, and/or acting differently. My role is to support you as you explore past experiences and new ways of being. I provide interactive, thoughtful and non-judgmental feedback as you transform into the person you want to be - someone who can enjoy life.

Therapy can help you:
  • Develop more positive, connected and satisfying relationships
  • Enhance your communication skills
  • Recognize and utilize your strengths and resources
  • Implement more effective strategies for dealing with anxiety and stress
  • Help you make changes that can lead to a more satisfying and more meaningful personal life
